Our Trustees
Mr. Dhanushkodi Sivanandhan
Former IPS officer
Mr. Dhanushkodi Sivanandhan, a former IPS officer, has had a distinguished career in law enforcement. He retired as the Director General of Police, Maharashtra, in March 2011, after serving in key roles such as the Commissioner of Police for Mumbai, Thane, and Nagpur, as well as spending six years in the Mumbai Crime Branch. Known for significantly weakening the underworld during its peak, he also worked with the Intelligence Bureau and Central Bureau of Investigation for 11 years. As Deputy Inspector General in the Naxal-affected Nagpur region, he played a crucial role in controlling Naxal activities.
Mr. Sivanandhan, who also served as a professor at the University of Madras, co-authored the national bestseller Chanakya’s Seven Secrets of Leadership. His exceptional service has earned him numerous accolades, including the President’s Distinguished Service Medal (2000), the Meritorious Service Medal (1993), and the Internal Security Medal (1998).
As the mentor of Mumbai Roti Bank, Mr. Sivanandhan’s vision and leadership have been instrumental in guiding the organization’s growth and success.
Sushil Jiwarajka
Trustee
Mr. Sushil Jiwarajka is a well-known industrialist and the Chairman of the Artheon Group of Companies. He also serves as the Honorary Consul General of Greece in Mumbai and is the Chairman and Managing Director of Essjay Ericsson Pvt. Ltd., a joint venture with LM Ericsson of Sweden. The Artheon Group operates in various sectors, including telecom, renewable energy, industrial batteries, and e-commerce. Mr. Jiwarajka also founded OMC Power Company Pvt. Ltd., which delivers clean energy to telecom sites and rural communities through renewable sources.
Beyond his business achievements, Mr. Jiwarajka has mentored several young entrepreneurs, helping them build successful ventures in high-tech and clean energy sectors. He has been actively involved in multiple Central and State Government committees and has a deep passion for Indian film music. He is also connected with various social and cultural organizations.
As a trustee, Mr. Jiwarajka’s contributions have been invaluable. His business expertise and strategic insights have played a crucial role in strengthening our foundation and advancing our mission.
Prof. Dr. Natarajan
Trustee
Prof. Dr. S. Natarajan is a renowned third-generation ophthalmologist and a leading expert in vitreo-retinal surgery in India. He is recognized globally as the President of all Ocular Trauma Societies and has made significant contributions to the field, especially in the area of blindness prevention through academic research.
For his exceptional work in medicine and for establishing Aditya Jyot as a premier eye care institution in India, Dr. Natarajan was honored with the Padma Shri, one of India’s highest civilian awards, by President Shri Pranab Mukherjee in 2013.
